New plan or no?

So I didn't follow my new plan, even though the evidence of this session only continues to prove its validity!

I ended up 4 tabling with 2 cash games and 2 $12+ $1 45 player Sit n go's

Table 1 of cash game I ended up losing $40

I played 6 sit n go's and cashed in 0.

Table 2 of cash game was the best results..

Here's hand #1...Interesting hand...I don't understand his call...

In terms of cool, I'm like a blazing inferno. said...

wow that guy made some terrible weird calls and plays.

sucks you cant cash in those SNGs though.

as of now, i figure if i just win a little here and there, i can get up to 2k+ in time. winning 30/day is 900/month. you dont have to risk extra just to go up $300 or $400 a day just yet. maybe once you get to $500 or $600 that would be better. your roll can grow exponentially. =)

hey kenny, nice picture with ivey!

anyway i have a question about hand #3. (AJ vs KQ) what hand did you put him on on the turn? why did you bet so little?

one thing i've been trying to work on is value betting on the turn and river. given this dude's tendency to call with such crappy hands, why didn't you bet more on the turn?

hey wen...

to be honest, i didn't think too much when i was playing that hand, given that i was playing 4 tables at once...i didn't even realize the hand would be a good hand to post, until it was over...

the other reason probably for my timid play was from the previous hand where he slow played a monster...by not overbetting the pot, i was able to figure out where he was at, whether he was setting me up to check raise, or on a draw...honestly with his call on the flop and draw, very rarely can i put him on a weak hand as KQ, but more of a tricky hand like 56, 67.
Remember this is a loose 6 handed game, where the range is very wide compared to a full ring game.

Lastly, I found playing slightly more safe, and small ball work better in the 6 handed tables, than obviously a 9 person table where you want to play your hands very strongly...I might be playing wrong, but it seems like it's been working

good questions! keep it up

cool, thanks for replying. just to be clear, i don't think you played the hand wrong. but i think the line you took is a little different than the one i would have used, which is why i wanted to ask you.

from your previous hands, he seems very tight passive (this is the picture u painted for me by pasting that AQ hand). now i will make some assumptions, please correct me if i am wrong. i'd like to k now how other ppl would analyze this hand.

if he had a j, an overpair or set, i believe he would lead out, as he did with the AQ hand. so i'm fairly confident we are winning. his smooth call on the flop makes me think that he has something like a flush draw (likely) or a pocket pair less than J but higher than 6 and he is hoping you are on a draw. i eliminate hands like 57 because i believe most tight, passive players wouldn't raise the flop with this hand. (i don't have your read tho, only the hand you posted before) so in my mind, on the turn, you need to bet more to price out the draw, esp if he has something like KQd. by betting so little, you are building the pot and giving him good odds to catch. if you are really afraid of a set, i think its better to check the turn for pot control and call a river bet on any non diamond board. personally, i doubt he would not check-raise a flop bet with a set. thus, given the flop action, i would lean towards a 2/3 pot. this would price him out, but i think it's still small enough of a bet that you can get away.

wen...good analysis as always...i enjoy it thoroughly...

1. to reiterate in all honesty, i wasn't really paying that much attention to that hand...lol

2. actually he was raising pretty much every hand he played, so that eliminates his range being of tight passive. i would say loose passive, but i also did see him check raise some previous hands...obviously it's impossible for you to know that given the sample size i showed you

3. thus you can't eliminate those 5 7 hands

4. lastly i agree with you tho, if i was really paying attention i would have bet 2/3 the pot =)
